Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated VMware Administrator with expertise in managing and administering the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) environment. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our TKG environment and the associated applications. Job Responsibilities:
Administer and manage the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid environment, including deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance. Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of the TKG clusters and infrastructure components. Identify and resolve technical issues related to the TKG environment and associated applications. Collaborate with senior team members to diagnose complex problems and implement effective solutions. Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to maintain a secure environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate TKG solutions with other IT systems and services. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users. Provide operational support for various applications within the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid environment. this includes the following:1. Tanzu clusters management and configuration.
2. Harbor for container image management.
3. Keycloak for identity and access management.
4. Trivy for vulnerability scanning.
5. Minio for object storage.
6. Velero for backup and recovery.
7. Tanzu Build Service for container builds.
8. DevOps toolchain integration.
9. Application Load Balancer (ALB) configuration and management.
10. Nginx Ingress for routing and load balancing.
Requirements
Job Qualification:
Bachelor’s in computer science or related area. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in managing and administering the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) environment. Experience with the deployment and management of applications such as Tanzu clusters, Harbor, Keycloak, Trivy, Minio, Velero, Tanzu Build Service, DevOps tools, ALB, and Nginx ingress. Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and deployment methodologies. Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and tooling. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Kubernetes-related certifications are a plus.Benefits
